VICSEG New Futures
VICSEG New Futures was one of the earliest organisations formed in Victoria to address the needs of migrant and refugee communities collectively, and the first to focus specifically on the needs of children. Established in 1980, the Victorian Co-operative on Children’s Services for Ethnic Groups – known as VICSEG – has, over the past four decades, grown to become not only a leading advocate for the childcare needs of migrant and refugee families, but an organisation that cares for newly arrived families and communities across Melbourne. VICSEG New Futures provides hands-on training in a range of different courses and areas, mentoring and job-support, parenting programs and playgroups, childcare needs, youth programs and work placements. With a flexible, people-first approach, VICSEG New Futures continues to provide innovative solutions and community services for people across Melbourne.
