Social Support Groups

Social Support Groups offer support to navigate life transitions, build community connections and share information with others

Current Programs

Our Women’s Groups create a friendly and safe environment for women to connect with each other. Run in partnership with local councils and organisations, the informal groups meet for two hours each week during school terms.

The groups offer opportunities to:

  • Learn about support services available in your local community
  • Practice English speaking skills
  • Hear from professionals working in different fields
  • Participate in fun activities
  • Share experiences and build connections

The groups are free to join and children are welcome.

Our pregnancy support groups are designed to assist women to improve pregnancy health care outcomes. These groups are free and delivered in partnership with a range of health services and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in the North and West of Melbourne.
