Fostering a supportive environment for learning

Nehad is one of New Futures Training's versatile trainers, delivering a range of our courses from Disability and Individual Support, to School Based Education Support, Community and Early Childhood, General Education and Digital Literacy. In Nehad's classroom, diversity thrives, with students united by a common challenge: English as a second language.

For her students, mastering English extends far beyond academic pursuits or job prospects; it's about essential daily functioning within the community. It empowers them to thrive in their everyday lives, from attending school interviews to managing doctor appointments or engaging in casual conversations at the supermarket.

Recognising that many students start with limited English skills, Nehad champions progress in incremental steps. Students come, they learn, they engage, and friendships blossom. Her commitment isn't just about teaching the language; it's about witnessing the transformation of students as they embrace newfound confidence and independence in their daily lives.

Nehad's classroom provides a supportive environment where language isn't a barrier, but an advantage.

“I tell them ‘you have an advantage - you have a different language. You learn two languages, not one language. So you have to be proud of yourself.’”
