Michael's Reflection in Lockdown

1 MIN READ / October 12, 2021

I changed from working in the Short Course team to becoming the Student Success Manager. I’ve always enjoyed seeing people finish a course, get their certificates, and see the looks of accomplishment on their faces. I am really looking forward to working with a class group over a whole year and helping students complete their qualifications.

I truly believe that New Futures Training can be a positive and transformative force in people’s lives, so I look forward to seeing that play out with the students I have gotten to know.

I am naturally a very social person, so I’m looking forward to simply being able to see everyone again. Plus, experience all the things that VICSEG is amazing at. Like sharing our cultural festivals — especially the lunches! — and meeting each other’s families. It’s a real community we have here.

I would also love to think that one day we might be able to sing together again! The VICSEG Lullaby Choir is something very special that we were lucky to be able to do together.
