Student Stories: Heyam Hassan (School Based Education Support)

1 MIN READ / February 21, 2023

New Futures Training student, Heyam Hassan, shares her insights on studying School Based Education Support with VICSEG New Futures.

Tell us how you came to New Futures Training / Australia.

A friend of mine mentioned that she completed more than one course with New Futures Training (Coburg). I loved the idea and contacted the office for more information.

Why did you choose to study School Based Education Support?

After Covid-19, I noticed that my daughters needed some help with remote learning (especially in Maths and English). I decided to enrol in this course so I could help them, or maybe other students, in the future.

What do you love about the course?

That we work together and share each other’s experiences as mums, carers, teachers aides. This helps us to gain a better understanding of what’s expected of us as a School Based Education Support worker.

What do you love about your trainer?

She is such a lovely, friendly and supportive teacher. Thanks Karen for your amazing support!

What do you think is special about New Futures Training (NFT)?

NFT is one of the best places to attend individual support trainings. Friendly staff, teachers and students.
