The Skills for Work and Study pilot programs are designed to support learners with low literacy and numeracy skills and interested in one of the industries, Early Childhood Education or Health Services.

Program objectives are to:

• Improve the literacy and numeracy skills of adult Victorians through pre-accredited programs that are contextualised to particular industries
• Strengthen pathway outcomes for learners by building the skills and capabilities necessary to participate in employment, entry level VET programs, or additional pre-accredited programs

Health Services

21SFWSHEALTH - SFWS HEALTH SERVICES

This course helps you develop skills in learning, reading, writing, speaking, listening, and numeracy while exploring
topics from the health sector.

Topics delivered in the course include but are not limited to:

• an introduction to the health sector and entry level jobs and responsibilities
• goal setting and learning/employment pathways in health services
• hygiene and infection control in a health services setting
• customer service and communication skills in health services
• conduct, duty of care and confidentiality requirements in healthcare
• Workplace Health and Safety in healthcare

Both courses are FREE for Permanent Residents and Australian Citizens
